The Sequatchie County Heritage Farms Program is a grassroots effort by community members designed to recognize farms in the county owned by the same family for at least 100 years. The guidelines and eligibility are less stringent than the state’s Century Farm Program, intending to recognize the agricultural heritage and the history of Sequatchie County.

Extension has provided support and guidance in developing the program, helping to identify eligible farms, and assisting landowners/farmers in completing the application process
