Sequatchie County 4-H is a youth development program of the University of Tennessee Extension. The Programs mission is to develop life skills in 4-H members so that they become capable, responsible and compassionate adults. Through local 4-H clubs, special interest groups, after-school programs, camp and many other activities, 4-H members have fun, make lasting friendships, enjoy “hands-on” learning experiences and get involved in their communities.



Leadership and Teamwork

Life skills such as leadership are important for future success. The Sequatchie County Youth Leadership program teaches these important life skills while creating an awareness,  for the needs of community involvement and leadership. Youth Leadership, Honor Club, and All-Stars are programs that teach leaderedhoip and teamwork.

4-H Clover Bowl

Over 100 4-H'ers participated in the Sequatchie County 4-H Clover Bowl.  They represented 28 teams. Over 500 4-H'ers competed for a place on one of the teams.

The purpose of the Clover Bowl is to acquaint 4-H members with themselves and their surroundings through participating in an enjoyable and educational program. In addition, this program will help participants to develop their leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.

Questions come from the following areas, 4-H, Tennessee (History, Geography, and Government), Sequatchie County (History, Geography, and Government), Agriculture and Environment, and Personal Management and Economics. You can click here for question sets.

School Enrichment

Programs such as TNCEP, Forestry, and Self Esteem are presented in classrooms through out the year.
